On your marks, chef's hats, go!
1- Prepare the dry mix
Add to a bowl:
- 4 cups of flour
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of baking powder
Add:
- 1/2 cup of vegetable or olive oil
Mix well until the texture becomes similar to wet sand.
2- Activate the yeast
In a separate cup, add:
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tsp of yeast
- 3/4 cup of lukewarm water
Mix together and leave aside for a few minutes to let the yeast activate.
3- Form the dough
Combine the yeast mixture with the flour mixture and add:
- 1 cup of lukewarm water
Mix everything together until a dough forms.
Add a drop of oil on the dough, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
4- Fold the dough
Lightly flour your surface and fold the dough gently 3 to 4 times.
Place it back in a bowl and let it rest for 30 minutes or more.
Your dough is now ready to use!
You can use it right away or store it in the refrigerator for up to 4 days!
