Some of my earliest and dearest memories are in the kitchen, watching my grandmother sprinkle zaatar with her fingertips, and my mother gently stretching dough until it was paper-thin, then flipping it on the hot saj with a grace I still admire. There was no rush, no measuring cups, just instinct, warmth, and a rhythm passed down through generations.
In those moments, I didn’t just learn how to make bread. I learned about love, patience, and the unspoken power of gathering around food. It’s where stories were told, jokes were shared, and traditions were carried forward, one man’oushé at a time.
When I moved abroad, I missed those rituals more than anything. I missed the smell, the crackle of the saj, the simplicity of making something with your hands that brought everyone to the table. That’s when the idea for Saj Voyage was born, a way to bring those memories back to life, not just for me, but for anyone who longs for that feeling of home.
This kit isn’t just a cooking tool. It’s a continuation of a legacy, from my grandmother’s kitchen to yours.
